This painting was completed at the beginning of the lockdown- right as I was starting to meditate, explore some deep issues and ultimately make some huge life changes. I find it fascinating that I intuitively tweaked the composition with an inclusion of light and pink stars or planets… a feeling of hope and magic pushing against the black of space that was the original background. I hadn’t intended a narrative for the alteration, but I see one now.
